iCompta App Reviews

17 Customer Reviews:

Very Good App! The program has many features and integrates very well with iCompta2 App for iPad and iPhone. As the app for iPhone and iPad is the best I could test, I decided to purchase the the same program for the Mac. As improvements, I suggest add resources to manage stock quotes on the stock and review the interface (lose in this aspect by iBank and Squirrel).

Beening using iCompta for awhile now. When iPhone syncing came out, that was it for me...Never using anything else. Hopefully the next few versions will start to add "Billings" like features for SMBs. Keep up the awesome work! PS, Add Japanese next....

The problem was lost.

It solved it though there was a spot of trouble. I am glad because of very wonderful correspondence. The function and externals are satisfied.

I downloaded this from the app store because I wanted something that worked better than moneydance. So far Im not impressed. Ive only been able to download data from one accout out of 4. I continually got errors when trying to download transactions and even resorted to the built-in browser to try to do it that way. It was just as fruitless only more time consuming. Ive writen to there support and hope to get some help there. If I do, Ill update my review. I also downloaded the (free) lite version of the iphone/ipad app but cant sync it without using drop box even though the site said it was Bonjour enabled.

Doesnt even deserve one star: I created a new account folder and named it credit cards. There was no way to put the credit card accounts inside it. This program acts old and and unfunctional. After working on this more than two hours, I trashed it. A waste of money.. a NO GO

Ive tried a ton of personal finance apps and have found iCompta to be the only one that delivers on all the functionality I need. The interface is friendly and intuitive, and syncing with my mobile devices (iPhone and iPad) is a breeze, and thus far has been completely glitch free. My wife and I use the cash envelope budgeting system which was easy to mimic in iCompta. For the first time ever I am able to enter and categorize new purchases on the fly on my iPhone, or on my Mac when I get home, and always know what my account balances are and how much monies are left in all my budget categories. Altough the automatic download of account data has not worked, it was very easy to import all transactions for each of my accounts using the built in browser. This is a four or five star app IMO; I would have reduced my rating to four stars had I not been able to download transactions from the built in browser, but since it worked well with very little effort Im sticking with five stars...

I find iCompata to be developing nicely. When I started, importing OFX from my bank was spotty, I am now able to import from my local bank (exists only in Chicago) without the website, and I can easily find totals for my taxes. That, and categorizing expenses is all I need.

I seriously wasted an entire day looking at all the Mac personal accounting programs, and finally discovered Icompta hidden in the back ! I downloaded the free trail from the website and purchased it after reviewing ! This def beat iBank and all the other top 20 programs … Full set of charts and graphs is what I was looking for, and this program is easy to use. Best of all I have the iCompta app on my iPhone and it syncs perfectly back and forth ! Give this a try, I was hesitant at first because it says #1 French accounting app, but this version is fully in American Dollars ! ( Im running Lion on my MAC, & iPhone 4 )

Not very happy with this app at all mainly for two reasons: 1. You cannot even create reports. Reports is the whole reason I bought this app for the purpose of categorizing transactions and creating business expense reports for tax time. 2. The category selections to classify transactions is so simplified its pathetic. I guess I was spoiled with quicken in the past with tons of category selections. I hope this helps.

Outstanding App for me! Small learning curve, then you have a great little App., that will keep track of your income and expenses. Pre-set credits and debits on a time frame that you are comfortable with, perfect for fixed income folks. This App. will actually do more than I need it to do. This may not do everything for everyone, but what does. More than a fair price for what you get and what it will do for you.

I own a small business and need to keep track of where the money has gone throughout the year. iCompta is a good app for importing transactions from bank or credit card statements and keeping track of the balances and sorting out expenses and income. Make your own categories, enter cash transactions, create reports-at tax time,or any time you can set dates and look at totals or reportsfor the year. All fairly straightforward. Sync with the iphone has several import/export options available if you are editing on either end. A good investment for the price-

Despite the amazing features of this app, especially the charts and graphs, the automatic download function doesnt work...at least for my bank. Ive spent about four hours trying to set up my initial accounts. Unfortunately, the online help is not well written; instructions are not very specific or step-by-step. Im going to try a little bit longer, but may decide to abandon it altogether. Maybe future versions will make it better.

I recently bought a Mac and was looking for something similar to KMyMoney (I refuse to run substandard ports on a Mac, I wanted something native.) I relaize that this app is long in the tooth but I tried a bunch of others and this one was closest to what I was used to. Its simple to use but has enough bells and whistles that give you nice charts and allow you to make a budget. Downlading transactions from my bank costs money so I havent tried that but it was able to imort my files from KMyMoney just fine (after I told it what date format to use.) I wasted way more than 17 bucks worth of my time trying other crummy apps in the app store, this one is simple, elegant and functional.
